I really do think he chose seirin because it’s an almost brand new school

not only is it almost a clean slate, it also decreases the chances that any of the members had come into contact with the generations of miracles

and it probably doesn’t have the resources to recruit anyone from teikou either

I think kuroko would have wanted to distance himself from teikou as much as possible - even if he was setting out to defeat them (not saying this is the case) he would have wanted to use none of their players to do it
